Vintage Shanxi Dark Glazed Pot
Age
Vintage
Then and Now
These soulful vessels hail from the Shanxi region, best known for its legendary black vinegar, and were once used to store this prized ingredient in kitchens across northern China. Each piece is hand-thrown and finished with a deep, lustrous glaze that catches the light in just the right way. The rounded silhouette and timeworn patina give these vessels a quiet strength, perfect for adding depth and contrast to a space. Whether standing alone or grouped together, they bring a sense of story and weight to a room. We especially love them styled with fresh greenery or dried stems to bring texture and life to a corner.
A Little Note
Each piece was handmade and due to the craftsmanship will vary in size, colour, and depth. Expect minor imperfections in keeping with age. These objects are for decorative use only and are not suitable for modern food preparation.
Care
Dust with a microfiber cloth.
Things to Note: As each piece is one of a kind, our objects might look a bit different from the pictures on our website.
